New York Fashion Week 2022

The “IKHAN COLLECTION” debuted at NYFW Feb 2022. This collection was very near and dear to my heart. It was the first all white ready to wear collection I designed. All of the pieces were well thought out and executed.

I decided to name this collection after my first child that I miscarried when I moved to LA ultimo in Jan 2021. 2021 was a rough year for me in so many ways. Each of these pieces were designed over the course of the year when I truly needed a pick me up or some type of inspiration. I wanted to prove to myself that I could keep going despite what I was going through in my personal life. I owed it to myself, my brand and my fans.

This fashion show was very fast paced. As NYC is a city that doesn’t sleep. Time moves so fast and isn’t really on your side. I was so nervous. With this collection I was able to figure out what my signature brand aesthetic would be. I gained a love for extended sleeves, pants, distressed fabrics and exposed seams.
